A release letter is written to inform that an employee is being released from his/ her duty. It may be written by an employee to the head of the organization for releasing/relieving him/ her from the current post or organization.
This letter may also be written by a company to another releasing the undersigned contract. This release letter can be written by anyone who wants to release the reader of the duties.
Since this is a formal letter, it is essential that a professional format and language is maintained. Though you may not be happy with the decision taken by the reader or have any complaints, do not mention anything negative in the letter.
Only mention the positive things about the reader and how he or she has helped the company expand if that is the case.
Below are tips and sample letters to help you through the process of composing such letters.
