An Internship Application letter is written by someone who is studying in an educational institution or currently pursuing a course to apply for an internship at an organisation. These letters are written to the organisations specialising in the fields that was or is being studied by the student. An internship application letter should not only talk about what the student has done but it should also talk about what the student is willing to do in the future at the organisation.
Since this is an application letter for an internship, it should be written formally. Aside from that, the student applying must ensure that they attach their contact information with the letter so that the organisation can contact them if required. Students must also ensure that they attach their CV/Resume which includes all their academic achievements and which talks about their extracurriculars as well. It should be written in a manner such that it attracts the attention of the employer.
Internship Application Letter Writing Tips
- The internship cover letter should focus more on what you want to do, rather than what you’ve done.
- Students should also mention their GPA (if above 3.0), academic achievements, and any honours or awards.
- You can also include details about your relevant experience from extracurricular activities or volunteer work.
- Provide contact information
