Conducting interviews is a tiring process but what is even more tiring is waiting for that call from the interviewers. Everyone gives an interview with the hope of getting selected for the prospective job. However, since the process of screening isn’t easy and the employers have to go through multiples of profiles, the least a person can do is write a follow-up letter to thank the candidates for putting their time and hard work in the interview process.
An employment follow-up letter is a formal letter written by a company to its prospective candidates who have given an interview for a job there. Mention that you were happy to have interviewed them and also mention as to why you think they have a good chance if they do. If needed, mention the status of their application as everyone wishes to know the results as soon as possible. Sending a follow-up letter is considered good manners and increases the goodwill of the company.
Employment Follow-up Letter Tips
- Begin the letter by thanking them for coming for the interview.
- Mention their key points which makes them a good candidate.
- Mention regarding the status of their application.
- End the letter by wishing them all the best for the future.
