Encouragement messages are so important and needed when one is feeling down or in despair. Where bad news abound, encouragement messages are needed most. Humans are relational creatures; we need someone to come along side us when we feel hopeless or worried. Good words can give a despairing person hope and courage. Harsh words can break the spirit beyond repair.
An encouragement message can be written to someone who is known to the sender. There is usually some form of relationship before an encouragement message is given. Sometimes it could be a complete stranger extending an encouragement message; giving words of hope and advice through a similar experience. That can be quite effective too; when someone has gone through a difficult patch in life, and shares his journey with another who is going through a similar experience, the recipient feels encouraged, knowing that he is not alone; he is not the ‘odd one’. The recipient is encouraged because he need not despair as he is shown the way to overcome the current difficulty from those who had walked the path.
It is up to every individual to choose to encourage another; all humans undergo some life difficulties at some point or other in our lives. To give an encouragement message to another in despair or sorrow is a good deed; you have lifted a downcast soul out of the miry pit. The recipient of an encouragement message can move on with his/her life quicker instead of wasting time wallowing in self-pity or despair, lost in decisions and lost of control. He comes out stronger in emotions and spirit for he is not without direction, after embracing the encouragement message.

Re: I am here for you
I am so sorry to hear about your retrenchment. It was so sudden. It must be really shocking for you as you did not see it coming, yeah?
I empathize with you. I was in a similar boat two years ago. Also a mother with young children, I received news of my retrenchment terribly. For weeks I was in a daze. Questions kept running through my mind: “How can we survive with one breadwinner in today’s inflation?” I was really desperate and had many bad moments with Bob. Crying out brings some relief but not solution.
Thank God a friend came by my house 3 months later to introduce me to a freelancing job. I was so desperate I just took it without further questioning. Now, I am making a good earning to supplement Bob’s meager construction income. There aren’t many jobs in construction today with the unstable economy.
I can introduce you to the same freelancing job if you are interested. It is easy to do and you can do it at home whenever you are free; thus, you have more time with the children and keep your home in better order. I have experienced that myself. I enjoy my life much more now. The retrenchment was a blessing in disguise. There is always a silver lining behind the dark clouds, Macy. Do not fret.
Call me when you are ready to start. If I can overcome the retrenchment patch, so can you!
Looking forward to hear from you soon,
Your friend,
Christy
