The cover letters are best addressed to a particular person rather than just a designation. The letters should be polite, brief and to the point. It is good to give the reader an indication that you would be willing to give any clarifications that may be required from their side. A cover letter should highlight the key achievements without going into too many details, as the details are given in the attached documents.
