Motherhood is a beautiful experience that almost every woman undergoes at some point in her life. It is a rebirth of her being, with her attention focused solely on the life that now dwells within her. The care of her child and its well-being takes priority over all else, and it is no surprise that many insist on leaving their jobs or taking maternity leaves during the pregnancy, with the latter becoming more common as the quality of work improves in companies.
Most companies provide a paid leave for the employee when she takes her maternity leave, and some may even provide insurance to cover the expenses incurred during the delivery. To avail these benefits, the employee must first submit a Maternity or Pregnancy Leave letter which informs the company of her leave date, duration and any other requests. This letter is normally submitted along with a medical certificate and letters from the doctor to help with the procedure and formalities. The letter must be brief and concise with specific details and must mention any additional queries or requests that the employee may have.
